cartridge filter
The system consists of replaceable cartridges They should be cleaned every week and changed approximately every year. The main advantage of the system is the easy installation and cleaning. Unlike sand filters or diatomaceous earth filters, in which cleaning is carried out with the help of the pool pump itself and with backwashing, the cartridge filter cleaning process is carried out manually, having to extract replaceable cartridge and cleaning it, usually with a hose.
Step 1: remove the cartridge
Remove the cartridge from the filter housing.
Step 2 – Check the cartridge
Once the cartridge is out of the filtration system, you should check it for holes and tears. Even small breaks can let water through without removing dirt and debris. If the filter is damaged, you should throw it away and replace it, rather than cleaning it.
Step 3: Clean the cartridge
Rinse out the cartridge with a garden hose to remove all loose debris.
-When spraying the filter be sure to rinse between its pleats as a lot of large debris can collect in those areas.
Step 4 - Place the cartridge in the filter
Once you no longer detect debris on the filter, you should expose it to dry. Place it in a sunny area and let it sit until it dries completely and voila, put the cartridge back inside the filter.
